Sometimes clients have design documents for their roofing and waterproofing projects already prepared or well underway and are not in a position to have Stafford completely design these projects. Stafford's plan consultation enables clients to tap our expertise to head off problems before they begin and to cut unnecessary costs from these designs.
Stafford will review design documents at any stage of design or construction. During the design phase we can assist architects or owners in improving the final design. We can also evaluate compliance of the design with applicable building codes, including the necessary structural engineering associated with wind loading, rain and snow loading, and other factors. Stafford can assist with review of construction submittals to ensure appropriate compliance with the intent of the design, including review of material and sample submittals, catalog submittals, shop drawings, payment requests, change order requests and general requests for information (RFIs).
During bidding or construction, Stafford can assist contractors in recognizing and troubleshooting problematic design issues. This way they can be corrected by the designers before they are implemented or, failing this, Stafford can assist contractors in developing the best practical approach to implementing the design.
